Hello everybody, hope you all had a wonderful July 4th celebrating freedom, that we are all so blessed to have. We have had so much rain that our festivities were all canceled {sigh} but we still enjoyed our time together. We learned how to play Bunco with the girls : ) I’ve always heard it was a fun simple game, we are always looking for games that will include EK and this was great! We also added a game that you roll dice that have pictures on them and you tell a story (Rory’s Story Cubes) let me tell you if you know anything about our girls you know they love to make up these bedtime stories, so I knew they would love it! We had a blast staying up late and celebrating indoors with just these two games and red, white and blue cookies!
As I reflected throughout our day I had to add a little History lesson in it about our freedom, I became more thankful than I even realized. Emily and I sat and looked over the Declaration of Independence together and shared about our earthly freedom and the men and women we are so thankful for that risk their lives for us. Then we started talking about our spiritual freedom that our Heavenly Father has provided for everyone. The freedom from sin! Romans 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. Praise God we are FREE from sin through the blood of Jesus! I am so thankful for freedom!
Blessings,
Stephany
