A quick update
I’m finally getting back in the swing of updating my blog. I’ve taken quite a bit of time off from it but just couldn’t find the time to do it before. I wanted to first bring an update since it’s been so long. We have been traveling as many already know for a year and half in our RV. It has been great and we love it! Tiny living fits us perfectly! I have started a business and it has grown very quickly which I’m super excited about. We have been in Texas for a while and a quick trip out West (which was awesome) and now we have made it to my home town in Alabama.
Why we’re in Alabama
The Lord has always directed our paths. We never know why or where we will end up, but we try to stay in tune with what the Lord wants and where He wants us. Long story short, my dad was admitted to the hospital in July for heart problems and while there, they found out he had lung cancer. It’s a complete miracle that they found it when they did. However, he needed open heart surgery and with the findings they didn’t feel he could handle the surgery and wanted to tackle the cancer first. So I of course want to be with my dad during this time.
He is scared but willing to do what needs to be done. We met with the oncologist and his only option is radiation. We will start him on vitamin c infusions as well to help build his immunity. It’s all very over whelming and many decisions to be made.
The plan
I’ve been away for 24 years and to return has been awkward but it didn’t take long to get back in the groove of things. I’m thankful my job allows me to be here. I have a loving husband that supports me being here and a church family and friends that I know is praying. We know we can’t be here forever but even if for a season, we’re so thankful. It has been a blessing to be with family and we are trusting the Lord during this time. Our plans for now is just to spend as much time as we can here with him. We want to be here for doctor visits and to encourage him and be his biggest cheerleaders! Sometimes coming home isn’t so bad.
