We started celebrating Ella Kate’s 9th birthday the day before, by taking her to the American Girl Doll store in Dallas. She squealed as we pulled in the parking lot.  She had looked at these dolls a million times and her mind changed just the same. When we arrived she was for sure picking Julie. Well, that was until she saw the Truly Me  dolls.  Guess what she went home with…Truly Me!

The next morning we woke her up to our traditional wake up with a cupcake and blow out one candle to get the day started.  She jumped out of bed to see what everyone had gotten her.  Emily had gotten her puppy accessories and clothes for her doll.  We had also added the puppy salon.  We had the camper decorated with balloons and crepe paper for a big surprise.

We took her out to eat at her favorite place, Olive Garden and had surprise candles that you can’t blow out for her chocolate cake that she requested to be made by Emily.  She wanted to eat popcorn and watch movies the rest of the night, so that’s exactly what we did.  It was a great celebration of Ella Kate turning 9.
