Emily’s 13th Birthday

Celebrating Emily’s 13th birthday at Lake Texoma Baptist Camp. I honestly don’t know how we got here this quick. It has been a joy every step of the way. I can hardly believe my baby girl is 13! She is beautiful, smart and kind. She is a friend to everyone. She loves the Lord. What else could a mom ask for, right? Well maybe for her to not grow up so fast. Just please slow down.

All she wanted for this birthday was to go camping. So we packed up and went camping at the Grayson Baptist Camp. It was wonderful or from her words “It was AWESOME” and that’s what we were hoping for.

We spent time together and made some fun memories. Well not all fun, she had a sinus infection and an ear ache the first night there. Ella Kate slammed her thumb in the door. Ouch! So we started out a little rocky but that’s ok.

We did have some fun nights by the camp fire making Smore’s. Sparkler candles on the Birthday cheesecake and two desserts at Chedders for lunch because she couldn’t choose just one.

Paddling in the boat and floating and catching the waves. Riding the tube behind the boat. Last but not least watching movies before bed and eating popcorn. So much fun and memories that I hope last a lifetime. I hope all her wishes came true for her special day.
